Boarding - La Salle House
Boarding fosters a sense of independence and self-confidence vital to success in later life. Boarding provides for the development of personal and communal responsibilities and boarders experience holistic education incorporating academic, social and sporting experiences. Boarders receive tremendous support from each other leading to lifelong friendships.
La Salle House continues the tradition of boarding that has been offered at the College since its opening. Located on the College site, La Salle House offers five day boarding (six days during terms two and three) to boys in Years 9-13.
The boarders are, in many ways, the heart and soul of the College. Whilst they can never replicate home, the boarding residences are marked by a strong family spirit. It is the aim of the dedicated boarding staff to provide the highest quality of care, support and supervision for the young men entrusted to them.
Boarders are accommodated in four well-resourced buildings providing accommodation for up to 130 boys. Rooms vary from semi-divided two-bed dormitories for students in Year 9, through to single bedrooms for students in Years 12 and 13.
The buildings incorporate kitchen, dining and laundry facilities as well as spacious television and common rooms for indoor recreation.
