Gym Auditorium

This gym auditorium building is a large-scale, leading-edge facility that will provide our school community with a state-of-the-art sporting and performance venue, inspiring current and future students in their fields of interest. Spaces within will allow groups to gather and learn in dynamic ways, with flexible learning able to take place and a vast array of uses throughout the school day and beyond.

As we look to the future, we recognise the importance of being able to host school functions, sporting and cultural events for our students, their parents/caregivers and our wider school community.

Francis Douglas Memorial College has secured $10.5m and is now moving to the fundraising stage of this project, seeking $1.5m in funding to see this exciting and much-needed facility come to fruition for the school and community.

For direct donations, please contact the Principal's Secretary, Jorgia Roebuck on jor@fdmc.school.nz or donate online using the button below.

Please see the video below for what the future building will look like.

Limited Edition Bricks

Limited edition commemorative bricks are now available for purchase! These special bricks will be prominently displayed on the exterior wall of the new gym auditorium, offering a unique opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the College.

Each brick will be personalised with a name, making it a perfect way to honour a loved one and show support for our community. By purchasing a brick, you are helping us get one step closer to the gym being a reality. Don't miss this chance to be a part of our school's legacy!

For more information, details on how to donate or different donation tiers, please contact Jorgia Roebuck, Principal's EA, at jor@fdmc.school.nz.

FDMC Legacy Ball

We recently held the FDMC Legacy Ball, a successful event aimed at raising funds for the new Gym Auditorium. The evening featured MC Paddy Gower and celebrity guests Beauden and Scott Barrett, and Conrad Smith, all proud alumni of the College.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and generous donations. This event wouldn't have been possible without the backing of local businesses, individuals, and our alumni community.
